I picked Rosie's as the best of September.

The restaurant is spacious with several different sections and an airy feel, with completely open, wrap around floor to ceiling windows. It was a nice end of Summer day when we went there so it was nice to have the fresh air, but I am sure the windows are closed now.
We sat at the counter seating around the griddle station in the middle of the restaurants. You could watch the skilled cooks making fresh tortillas with a tortilla press and cooking them on the griddle.

Rosie's is nothing like the majority of Mexican restaurants in the US which I don't appreciate much. Rosie's offers authentic Mexican food you can find in Mexico but I really liked the huaranche which is a freshly made black bean masa cake topped with chorizo and condiments. Their green chile chicken enchiladas were also very nice. Thankfully there was no refried beans or cheap cheddar cheese on their enchiladas. It reminded me and my husband of the great enchiladas from New Mexico. The fish tacos were the only item that we were not so happy about. It was surprisingly bland and not so interesting. Most importantly, their margaritas were really great. We tried their original flowored margaritas and the classic and I enjoyed the classic the best.
It is so great to have a really great Mexican restaurant finally open near our neighborhood. I am sure I will go back there again.
